Mr. Nimr Tamimi is one of the founding Principals of Engineering Partners and has practiced extensively as a Senior Mechanical Engineer and Project Manager for over 26 years. Mr. Tamimi has designed a variety of project concepts for resorts, restaurants, medical centers, retail outlets, schools, universities, astronomy observatories, laboratories, office buildings, recreational facilities, data centers hospitals & healthcare, industrial buildings, warehouse buildings, ADA renovations and water systems.
Throughout his extensive career as a Mechanical Engineer, many of his designs specialties have included work for HVAC, energy analysis, feasibility studies, domestic plumbing, air conditioning, medical gas systems, fire protection, LEED certification, solar water heating, pools, climate control systems, waste water, water treatment, water pumping, industrial process, deep well systems and waste water pump systems.
Mr. Tamimi maintains an active membership in the American Society of Heating Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers, National Society of Professional Engineers and has served as the past President of the Hawaii Society of Professional Engineers and the American Water Works Association. Other community memberships include the Hawaii Island Chamber of Commerce, Kona-Kohala Chamber of Commerce, Hawaii Island Japanese Chamber of Commerce, Hawaii Leeward Planning Conference, America Institute of Architects and American Council of Engineering Companies of Hawaii.
